How is Teeling Irish Whiskey made?​

Teeling Irish Whiskey is made using various cereal grains, unique yeast strains fermented and distilled in Ireland, matured in numerous styles of different casks. Teeling makes a variety of styles of Irish Whiskey, each in Small Batches, with a focus on flavour. Blended Whiskey, Single Malt, Single Grain and the only uniquely Irish style of Whiskey, Single Pot Still.

What is the difference between Irish whiskey and Scotch?​

The difference between Irish whiskey and Scotch isn’t worlds apart and they can be seen as cousins in the whiskey industry. Ireland makes World Class Single Malt Irish Whiskey and brilliantly tasty Blended Irish Whiskey but also has it’s own uniquely Irish style of Whiskey in Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.

What is the difference between Irish whiskey and Bourbon?​

The difference between Irish whiskey and Bourbon is the grains used in the production process. Amercian whiskeys are segmented by the prominent cereal grain, in bourbon this is corn or maize. There is a style of Irish Whiskey that is similar to Bourbon called ‘Single Grain’.

Is Irish Whiskey gluten free?​

Yes, Irish Whiskey is gluten free. Although Whiskey is made from grains that contain gluten it is safe for Coeliacs as the protein containing gluten is not carried through the Distilllation process.

What is Small Batch Irish Whiskey?

Small batch Irish whiskey is, for us, a production run of whiskey made in small quantities. We recreate our Irish whiskeys every year, each batch size equating to around 10,000 bottles. We focus on the flavour and quality of each batch rather than mass producing large quantities.
